I think we should define exactly what constitutes "cheap". If my cell bill was 50 bucks a month, I'd have an aneurysm.
For the last eight years or so, I've used T-mobile prepaid and been happy with it. I average somewhere between $100 and $200 per Year.
Another happy Project Fi user.
I bought my Pixel 2 outright, my phone bill is typically $25-27 per month. But of course at home and work it's on WiFi, if I go to a Panera for lunch it's on WiFi, basically about the only time it doesn't have WiFi is while driving.

I'm on TING. It isn't bad, but it isn't real great either. I'm considering Project Fi, but for better or worse I want to stick with iPhone.

Interesting. I had never heard of that and jumped over real quick to look. Looks like for how I use my phone, TING ends up being $8-11/month more expensive than Project Fi.

Still way cheaper than any of the major companies, but there are definitely better options now. When I jumped on it 3 years ago, it was the best option. Not anymore.
