The family is begging for me to come up with a wish-list. I'm stumped myself.
Criteria: not necessarily car related, preferably under $25, little old lady shopping friendly (not online). Pretty much anything tool related I've either already got in my box, don't need or is too specific for them to track down. I am reluctant to get item number specific. No gift cards.
So far, my list is: black sweater, SD card, sweatshirts.
Given the criteria above, what would you put on YOUR list?
Can't think of anything that fits that criteria.
Only thing I want/need is the rest of the parts for my Miata HPDE build.
I'm having the same problem.
I know i need/want tools... i just don't know which ones.
I'm drawing a complete blank, and it's driving SWMBO nuts.

CD's, bourbon, beer, tickets to a concert/show/event, socks, subscription to GRM or CM.
To quote my 87 year old great aunt, "It's always the right size and just what they needed". She pretty much only gives cash. Sometimes a check. Usually just cash though.

Gift card or booze (something you wouldn't buy yourself). Hard to go wrong with either.

So no online shopping, but sex toys are OK?
on my list:
- GRM subscription
- A vernier caliper
- Cycling Shorts
- Bench Vice
- Wireless Mouse
- Wireless Meat Thermometer (for the grill/smoker)
- Inception DVD
- Sports team Polo or hat (UC or Bengals)
- Rotozip Bits
Most of those should b $30 or less (maybe not the shorts or Vice...)
I maintain an Amazon wishlist that I update year-round. Come Christmas time, I've got loads of ideas to tell people. From it, knowing your criteria, I'd put...
A nice set of kitchen shears. These, exactly. Feel free to buy them for me!
-Winnipeg Jets hockey sweater
-new "Dead Skunk" graphics for my van
-wall hung 1 HP compressor for the garage
-insulated vest
-Ipod connector cable for my CooperS
-composite hockey stick
None of these meet your $25 criteria though, but I'll be happy !
I'm always a fan of cheap tool sets that you can keep in the car for junkyard work and flashlights. It always seems like I got caught without them a couple years ago. Not anymore.

Niet!
I had my slapshot clocked with an Easton Synergy and a Sher-Wood 50 30. No difference in speed. Enormous difference in price. I broke the wood sticks about twice as fast as the composites.
No thank you.
The upside down show on DVD, best kids show ever.

I asked my mom for a ton of socks. Work socks, dress socks, around the house socks, thick socks, colorful ones, whatever. I'm young, so I can get away with just about any color. Did I mention that I hate spending money on socks? I also have wood floors that are cold in the winter.

^Yeah, socks are a lame gift until you hit about 20 years old and have to start buying them for yourself. Then it all makes sense.
1)Box of shells
2)DVD of anything involving a car chase (anything with Steve McQueen, Cars 2 just came out, something like "Ronin" is always fun, or I once found the original "Gone in 60" at wally world)
3)magazine subscription to a magazine I usually wouldnt buy myself, or was interested in "trying". (I KNOW I like GRM so I'm willing to pay for that out of my pocket)
4)Books Books Books. (I love books) Make a list and have her go to Half Priced Books and go crazy. Maybe she'll find something cheesy but with good pictures like "The History of Ferrari" or something for a bit of bathroom reading. (again, something you probably wouldnt spend money on, but dont mind getting as a gift)
5)Zombie targets (they sell em at sporting goods stores, I've always wanted to shoot some, but the normal black silhouette ones are just plain cheaper)
6)A mouse shaped like a car! (neat, but I'm not going to take money out of my car's budget for it)
7)I would sure dig a cut away poster of a car I like (like that one of the GT40...)
anyhoo.
Merrry Christmas, and good luck!
