what do you think of my new headliner?

fabric matches whole color scheme of car...gray, black, and purple. Might use the excess fabric for seat inserts...

What kind of glue did you use? The last headliner I did is falling down again. My wife is not amused. I totally blame the glue, not my lack of skill.

When I redid the headliner in my van I chose a groovy moon and stars theme with blue and black. Most people didn't even realize it was up there and when they did they were all like, "Whoa!"

First thing I thought of was Enterprise holodeck.

2000 Trans Am and thanks guys. Installed it today, needed lots of heavy duty velcro tho to stay up. ABS plastic headliner weighs a bit more than the pressed board

was your pressed board headliner shot totally?

I thought it was ok, started to take old material off and it was peeling layers of th pressed board apart.

odd... I found it funny that the support for the headliner in my BMW is NOT pressboard, but a very course and thin glassfibre. It was like they aimed a chopper gun at the mold and made a single pass..

thats how a lot of new cars are. pressed board is just so awesome they had to stop using it.

some updated interior shots, i'm not the trim piece wrapper, but hell it's fun and saves me money from someone else doing it. The center console piece, radio bezel, and door handle bezels are all painted to match the exterior of the car once it's finished. Red/black floormats will be history once the car is on the road, just in there for now.

why do I like this so much?

Unfortunately, its headliner is the other type, with rods and such. They say its easier with the windshield and backlight out.

You'd think they'd last longer that 46 years ...

pfffft...lasted about 36 years longer than mine.

I made the design in PS CS4, loaded it up on spoonflower, and a couple weeks later I got 3 yards of Fabric.

The head liner looks good , don't go putin blue neon lights under the car.

Silly random story: my Dad discovered hithertofore-unknown neons under the DeLorean when he had it up on a lift for the first time last week. He said he still has no idea how to turn them on, or if they're even wired in all the way.

Is there any way to keep if from fading in sunlight? It seems only the high end stuff is UV resistent, the materials at JoAnn Fabrics will fade. Ask me how I know
