Enough land for me to not ever see anyone that lived next to me.

Similarly, my thought was a race track and a house on the same property.

Someone spending $28M on a car already has these things...

Yeah but does he have a E36 M3ty house and 8 project cars, three of which are dailied?
HA!
In reply to Ian F (Forum Supporter) :
Yeah, but the question was "what does it buy you?"
You, as in me. I am he.
$28M buys me time to do whatever I want. And I would not want a coachbuilt Rolls at that price. I hope that there was a missing decimal.
At some point spending money is itself a hobby. Dude was going to spend that on something. Why not a coachbuilt car?

No house, but with $21M left over, I imagine you could remedy that quite nicely:

There is so much drool on my desk right now.
1mil house/shop...20mil for a bunch of cool rusty cars to fix up! EDIT... I forgot to budget tires into the equation. So tires too!!!

Frankly, I can't believe that these people have the nerve to insist on "Legitimate offers only." Pretty sure that's discrimination.

One thing it apparently doesn't buy is taste... And now, if you'll excuse me, I have to go rinse my eyes out with bleach now.

It doesn't buy you a jet, you need quite a bit more than $28M for that.

Or buy up all the land surrounding it to ensure it doesn't get developed into a NIMBY infested HOA neighborhood.

Citrus Vision = ~$2M

Woah! Since when is Grattan for sale?
On the original topic, I can certainly think of worse ways to spend $7mil than owning Grattan. I'd turn the remaining $21mil into a bunch of left over NASCAR road course cars, a big pile of spares and a giant stack of Hoosiers. Of course, you all would be invited.
When Bentley makes the same offer (build you anything you want for a few million), i'll have this please:

As with a boat and a race car, the purchase price is only a small percentage of the total cost. :). Insurance, hangar, maintenance, fuel, pilot's salary (or a huge amount of training if you're going to try to learn to fly it yourself), they add up quickly.

I've seen that banner on their site for a while now, at least going back to last year.
$28,000,000 doesn't go far. I mean a cabin in the mountains in Colorado might be close to double that amount. Inflation.
