My experience with a Pergo installation done through HD wasn't so great. The intial installation was fine, athough I dispise the look of it. Several years later, the seams are spreading the stuff has scratches really bad in the laundry room. HD says its a Pergo issue. Pergo says it isn't a warranty issue.
I'm not a Pergo fan at all. My brother and I did it all through the downstairs at my mo's old place (her idea, not ours) and it just did not impress me in the least.
All the installations I have seen get to looking sort of ratty pretty quick, too; the dealership I worked at in Charleston had it in the hall for the offices upstairs and the GM used to cuss it under his breath all the time.
In the process of the complete gut and remodel of my house, I needed to hire someone to drywall it. Did all the other work myself, framing, plumbing, electrical, and so on. I hate drywalling, and had to do the entire house. These guys came recommended and were low bidder so I went for it.
They berkleying sucked. Every seam shows, bad sanding, they even covered the bathroom fan! Had them come back 3 times for repairs before I even started to paint. Now 3 year later I'm getting nail pops and cracks. Will hire someone else to remud the whole place some day.

Well something is going to replace it whenever I can find what I want.
