My son and his wife are on the way to San Francisco to run in a marathon. They are going to make a bit of vacation out of it and then KIm has to go on to Hawaii for a conference.
Kim is apprehensive because Bodie has never seen stairs, always gets his butt kicked by their cat and it's his first time away from home; he's only 5 months old. Kim is also apprehensive about motorcycles, sports cars and just about everything else.
Bodie is a rescue dog, got him from a woman (now in jail) that had 50+ dogs in an apartment. He's a chahuahua, but has a nice little personality, never barks and is curious about everything.
Well, he blisters up and down the stairs, chases the cat around and loves to hop around in the wet lawn.
I'm sending this photo to Ian with only the caption "What happens at Grandma's ..."
They need more to worry about.![](/media/img/icons/smilies/crazy-18.png)

Why not?!
+1 Lots of dogs ride
Lots of dogs die too. It's irresponsible to travel with an animal unrestrained on/in a vehicle. You NEVER know what an animal will do no matter how long you've had them. Get them in a crate or use a harness and anchor set-up for seat belts. And please get them out of the front seat and only crack the window enough for the tip of their nose to poke out. Would you allow/let your kids do what people let dogs do in vehicles? No, so why the dogs? A little more respect for man's best friend, please.
Great looking little pup. We have rescues too. Can always be a little odd!
