What I got for Xmas

I got a lego mug, a mini helicopter in a ball so you don't crash it immediately, and a minecraft lego set.

It was the GGA thread. That is what got me in good with him.

I got a brand new grandson. That's all that I needed, but the spousal until, Santa and my youngest also sprang for a pimply leather satchel, some cool cloths, shoes, tea and this months Motorsport Mag from the UK which cost more than an annual sub to GRIM!

I got some clothes, some cash, some tools, some nice nick nacks, Mrs Allroad and I bought ourselves a leather sectional (and I got my thumb crushed moving it in to the living room to save the $100 delivery fee).

I got to see some family I don't see often enough. And some family I'd rather see less often.

I got to see and carve a 38 lb turkey that my BIL raised and killed on their farm.

I had a very good day and am thankful for what I've got (and not got all you plague ridden flu carriers).

I got a beautiful, peaceful, quiet Christmas. Oh, a few nice gifts, but that was secondary. Best, least stressful Christmas in many years.

Made out like a bandit this year. I'm truly blessed.

SWMBO got me an Xbox One, came with a couple Assassin's Creed games, and enough chocolate covered espresso beans to last me a month or two.

SWMBO's folks got me a Victor portable Oxy/Acetylene torch kit, with full bottles even.

My folks got us a beautiful antique Globe Wernicke 3 stack glass front barrister (lawyer book case) that matches our 3 stack barrister/desk combo in our office. Now we need more books, lots and lots of books!

The standard fare of undies, socks, razor blades, dress shirts etc. as well.

The big treat was: Brother and SIL had a son on the 22nd, had jaundice and spent his first 3 days on this earth under a special light, he got to go home on Christmas day!

My family knows what I like

never knowing wat I want for christmas anymore I always ask for music and movies from amazon. Usually movies that my wife would hate and I watch when I have to the house to myself. So I got a bunch of movies and my brother got me the most recent wolfenstien game for xbox 360.

Unfortunately this year our dog's health really took a turn for the worse. He knew what we were trying to do when we wanted him to get in the car to go with us to the in laws, he was having none of it. Wife came back home that night instead and he couldnt get up and walk anymore. Had to run around all day Christmas morning and have our dog put to sleep. Sad, but we knew the day was coming, he really was in pain, and he isnt anymore.

The sad news was counteracted by us surprising all of our family that we are expecting a baby in June. We kept it a secret through several family visits, the birth of my nephew, my brother's wedding. I am so excited to Dad over here. Would be ecstatic with a boy or girl but I have to admit it would be awesome to shop for hotwheels and legos. I am already having issues jump starting my nephew's hotwheels collection....as in I am out of control buying them....

Does it matter if a boy.or.girl to play with hot wheels? I heard baby and my.hot wheels collection increased by 10000%. Boy was just a bonus.

Well, I got my stolen honda civic back! Merry Christmas to me!

But I had to pay the $600 in impound and towing fees??! How the berkeley does that work?

I figure I am ahead though, I will save that money in fuel in under 6 months compared to driving the truck. And the civic is fun!

Still going to take the dickhead to small claims court.

Edit- Not to brag or anything, but I found this out while staying at a 5 star resort in puerto vallarta for two weeks (17th to the 1st). Its been interesting, first vacation and 2 weeks straight of continuous contact with the girlfriend of 1.5 years :) my lord can she be difficult sometimes haha!

I was sick earlier in the week but thankfully better by Christmas. It was Jack's first Christmas so that was kinda cool even if he is only 3 months. I got a Hubsan quad copter, a new gun cabinet and a jug of "apple pie"

And yes that is Hobbes he got.
