Old style motor build by Borchardt in Wisconsin.
4 Bold Main
2 piece rear main seal
Edelbrock cam and intake set
Forged steel crank
Purchased for 3500
2 3xc20000 tubes (rings installed by Econco)
Originally built by Blue Gill
Worked on by Wizard, myself, and Ghostrider
RF deck re-done (cleaned up)
Bottom of box rebuilt (tubes no longer lit by transformers)
3 original Peter Dahl transformers (new)
Purchased for 14000
1 3cx3000 driver
Originally build by Dave (was a converted 3 tube 3-500z)
Worked on mainly by me (looks bad, but works well)
1 Original Peter Dahl transformer
Too old to remember the cost
1 2-pill x force driver
6 320A Alternators
purchased for 500 each
1ga color coded 3 phase wire
purchased for 800
2 high current rectifiers (the one that runs the truck is fan cooled)
2 x force regulators
218 coax
1 5/8" line section
1 50kw element
2 30ua bird meters
Both amps are vented out in the back, so no heat stays in vehicle.
I have left out a some details, but I totaled what it cost me to purchase and set up the truck and stopped counting at 30k so I know I have at least that invested.
When I'm tuned out properly I can key just over 50kw and talk about 43kw or so without boost. I have never put boost on the alternators.
THIS EQUIPMENT IS FOR EXPORT USE ONLY!
Something rather illegal...
Trying to give himself cancer and/or superpowers from EMF radiation?
I'm gonna say either a mobile pirate radio station or "Salvage 1" style private moon mission.

I'll bet he's sterile and free of cancer.

I thought you had to go full Ham to find crazy like this. FCC would probably like a word with him....

This would be my guess. 50K watts in a Suburban?
You wouldn't have to nuke your lunch, just set it on the dash and key the mike. ![](/media/img/icons/smilies/googly-18.png)

Dang.... That's a mindblowing amount of power for a CB radio.
Somebody has to link the pictures.....6 alternators?

I tried via phone and failed........I guess this guy was tired of "Can you hear me now?" and went straight to "I KNOW YOU CAN BERKLEYING HEAR ME NOW!!!!"
LoL
Does this work for those limited to fancy/non fancy phones?

I'm just going to put a solar panel on the roof of my Trooper. 6 alternators is overkill, IMHO.![](/media/img/icons/smilies/wink-18.png)
Oh, wow. We fixed this thread at the same time. ![](/media/img/icons/smilies/laugh-18.png)
I know a dude with a similar, but less extream mobile HAM radio setup in an F250 super-duty. He is a peculiar cat to say the least. ![](/media/img/icons/smilies/googly-18.png)
Does anybody even do pirate radio these days? I figured the internet took care of that

guy I worked with at a radio station was big into CB radios.. he will tell a story of the day he had an issue with one of those kids with 5000 watts of stereo power in their tiny car.
He powered up the CB and just opened the mic... and damn near fried the kids system

most of those cb/ham radio types are a little "peculiar".

They'd work better with a belt.
There is a serpentine belt on the inner half of the pulleys.
