Just found this on the hood of my car. I think the big end is its face.
Looks a bit like a Luna Moth caterpillar, how big is it? What sort of trees do you have near where it was found?

My entomologist dad says its a slug caterpillar and they do sting.
I brushed up against a similar beast, the saddleback. Was mowing next to a bush and brushed my arm across one. I remember not being real happy about it.

Dad thinks its a yellow shouldered slug. looking at the googles, think it might be a nasons slug.
