That wouldn't surprise me. Is mine green to hide all the crap in that? Either that or the radiator came from the factory green and crusty. Still, though, it didn't leak. Impressive.

It's way higher than 99%, at least where I live. Though our rapidly growing Hispanic population is making up for it, and I say that as a statement of fact, not colored with any bias or prejudice. In Langley Park MD near the DC line it's very majority Hispanic and if you want to go to an Advance/Autozone/Pep Boys that actually has stuff in stock, that's where you go, 'cause thats where people fix their own cars.

I was going to say it was likely low.
my wife's buick has been making some odd noises, apparently for some time. i drove it the other day and was like wtf, it's clunking. she said "yeah i've been meaning to tell you about that for a couple months"
i assume 95% of people are as bad as or worse than she is. 4.95% actually take their stuff to get fixed or attempt to do it themselves before it catastrophically fails. the other .05% is guys like us.

And how many of us wear shoes worn all the way through in public, subsiding entirely on 7-11 food, working in 1920s steel mill?
In reply to Kenny_McCormic:
none. The steel mills all shut down.
my point is many people never get themselves looked at, even when they are sick and a simple (often free) antibiotic will help. Why should cars be any different? The reasoning is usually the same, money. The difference is this board is full of people that do their own work. Im sure if you got a bunch of doctors together they could tell you stories of people that kicked the can or had to have expensive procedures because they didnt go early and get checked.
TL/DR People dont like to spend money on "non-fun" stuff.

Quite true. I guess I just neglect myself more than my ride. I think I last had a physical, about 2.5 years ago, I checked the fluids in my car 2 days ago. I'm 1/8th qt low on oil, and was mildly pissed at myself for not remembering to double check it was full when I changed it last, so who knows how much of it was burned vs just underfilled. IDK what my blood pressure is, and I don't really care.
