An edge is a pass rusher. Who is considered the edge depends on the defensive formation. It's not an official position.
Generally a defensive end who has mad kill the QB skills IE myles garrett, jadeveon clowney, etc.
DE/OLB hybrid. Edge rusher who lacks in coverage skills.
