If Nirvana is punk, thats my vote. (Imho they were)

If that isn't allowed, Minor Threat.

I’d second some Minor Threat. They were just a bit too early for me, while you forget they had a pretty short run of just three years. But what a mark they left on the scene.

Another one that I’d like to see once I get my time machine back from the shop: The Runaways.

I was in Los Angeles in the 80s and missed a number of great bands that frequented the Whisky-a-go-go. If I had to pick one not-quite punk band it would be The Red Hot chili Peppers, but also Black Flag, Circle Jerks, DK and Social Distortion would have been great.

Agent Orange is on the road right now. (Sadly no Florida date on this go-around, but we usually see them in February-ish.)

I would have to say The Ramones and Black Flag when Henry Rollins was fronting them. From the UK side of things; The Sex Pistols and The Clash.

Highly recommend "Get in the Van" by Rollins about his days in Black Flag.

The Ramones at Sundance when I was in high school. The club was two blocks from my house in Bay Shore on LI.

Another vote for Minor Threat even though they were way ahead of my time.

As far as more recent bands go, I really would've loved to see Power Trip in concert.

I kinda wish I had made time to see NOFX on this last go, since it's kinda THE last go. Tix were sort of insanely expensive by my own stingy ass standards though, and I passed.

One of the first questions I ask a new member to my crew is "AC/DC or Motorhead? The answer matters.

I berkeleying strongly dislike AC/DC.

Dead Kennedys?

I'm kind of amazed that I managed to luck into a lot of things I long thought I'd missed for good. The Dead Milkmen (I've never seen a venue so full of people who were happy to be there, band and fans alike. It was so weird hearing them talk about how after the tour they'd go back to their office jobs with people who had no idea what they'd been doing on vacation)... Screeching Weasel (or at least Ben Weasel and people playing instruments)... It's weird to think that although I was stoked to finally see Motorhead on a later tour, it still seemed incomprehensible that they wouldn't just keep coming around until I had long since turned to dust.

Thankfully the Ramones is not on my regret list but almost was.  They were playing Hammerheads in Baltimore (90s) and my GF called me to tell me to meet her there.  I was stationed up in NJ about 2.5 hours away and working 12 hour shifts during an exercise.  Hit the road right after work and made it just in time.  We jumped in the pit and I was paying to much attention to my 5ft tall GF to ensure she didnt get squashed to see the stage diver who landed right on my head plowing my nose into someones forehead.  Blood everywhere.  But I got to go backstage to get patched up and there as I was sitting waiting for the bleeding to stop Joey and DeeDee walked by.  Joey looked at me and said dude, what happened?  And DeeDee just looked at him and said "mosh pit shiny happy person"  and off they went.  The next day at work was very very painful.

Motorhead is a definite regret, I didnt develop an appreciation for them until it was too late.

Lol I wondered if the wattage temporarily increased for a brief period of time.

Before my time a little but I wish I got to see peak era The Damned.

The past 12 months I've seen T.S.O.L. In Honolulu and Black Flag in Atlanta though. Both current lineups kick ass by the way.

I saw T.S.O.L. here in Florida and, yeah, good show.

I saw Flag a few years back. Also a killer performance. (I admit, I’m more of a Keith Morris/Dez fan.)
