I just built this one. Do any of you guys have any? I have some vintage ones my grandfather handed down to me.

What do you put in the hole?
I would rather make one of these.
And then, one of these!

I had one of those when I was a kid. It was strangely fascinating to play with.

You're not a kid any more.

I went totally GRM. I used maple salvaged from a barn that was torn down and some teak from a shipping pallet. They are pretty cool to build.

That is old. I once had a black box that when you flipped the switch, It would make grumbly noises, the cover lifted and a hand came out and turned the switch off. Hand returned and cover closed. Don't know what ever happened to it. Probably the kids trashed it.
Better: Make a do nothing box that does something: It pushes the switch of a second, identical box. Then....the boxes fight for you :D

Yours all suck. I went more modern for that smooth feeling.
