I'm looking for one of the above, except push in rubber and preferably 90*. You know, like a grommet, but with a stress reliever on it. It needs to pass 4 14 gauge wires. I swear I've seen such a thing before, though it might have been about 50 years old... Needs to fit a 1/2" hole in a ~5/32" plate.
Thats a doodad, isn't it?
I'd head for a place that sells cords for power tools, I think.
Snap-in cord grip, click last link on page.

No, I want something LIKE that, but made of rubber rather than nylon.
At my work we call that a "strain relief."
Agree on the "Strain Relief" nomenclature. You might try an electronics supplier like Digikey. They have a lot of wiring accessory type stuff.

I thought they were thingamabobs
Hell no it's not a doodad or a thingamabob. Don't you idiots know a doohickey when you see one?

It looks like a one-way trip to HR if I make that my desktop picture.

+1 and putting that in to McMaster's search box will net you what you are looking for. If those are too "industrial" put "cord strain relief" into amazon and you will get a wide variety of the type you find on things like drills and hair dryers.
have you tried that store down the road with no windows and "XXX" on the sign? i bet they have something that looks like that..

The stress reliever I bought there would definitely get me sent to HR.
You know what? I think I'll just drill another hole in it and use two grommets for the two cables.
