My family (Long Island) has ways had Thanksgiving dinner at about 2pm. My wife's family (Detroit) eats at 7pm. Kills me to wait all day to eat. Then no sandwich later on after the nap. When do you guys eat? Is it a regional thing? I'm gonna go crazy tomorrow waiting for dinner. And what am I supposed to do all day while watching football?
When it's done. Which means it's been from Noon sometimes and 6pm some years. Depends on how fast the turkey gets done, really.
I'm off work at 2, need to change and drive 45 min from home, so whenever I get there. Until then I'll hold out with my two Big Texas Cinnamon Rolls. They were made in Chicago.
3 pm for the g/f's family. Her mother is pretty good at getting dinner on the table when scheduled. Being married to a neurotic engineer for over 50 years will learn you that.
When I go to my mother's, its anyone's guess. Depends on when she gets the food ready (I love mother dearly, but cooking is not her strong skill).
we don't cook anymore .. go out for Thanksgiving meal ... res. is for 2:30 .... usually shoot for 1, but got even lazier than normal and they didn't have room 'till later
Should be around 3PM at the fokes and I also go over to my aunts latter in the evening.
Have fun guys. Paul B
I have to work... stupid stupid Lighting designer wants to do the focus today instead of tomorrow morning. Unfortunately, I am the senior most focuser on the crew at Borgata.. so he wanted me.
Least I get Holiday Pay
Between 12 & 1. Can't wait any longer and I get grumpy when I don't eat.
Can't have that big a meal late in the day or you'll suffer all night long.
Eating early also gives you time for the post coital nap.

Looks like most of us will have fully indulged in our gluttony long before those hunger pangs finish ruining your football game. Hope that makes you feel better!

Want to know what makes it worse? I'm a Jets fan!
My family and I visited my grandfather at 1pm. Then I went home and ate Thanksgiving dinner at 3pm. Right now I'm at work.
And I have to wait till tomorrow because we have to work around all the other in-law type families this year.
Making fudge as we speak. Mmmmmmmm!
And my wife is making the dressing. My daughter is frying turkeys tomorrow. Well actually her boyfriend is trying to impress all of us with his culinary skills so he's frying them.
We've fried turkeys twice and haven't liked it nearly as much as roasted. They've tended to be dry by comparison. The microwave is the ultimate turkey roaster. A little messy, but the juiciest you've ever had.
