My BIL gave me a stack of old car mags. Late 60s to mid 70s. Any suggestions for what I should do worth them? I thought about culling them for any advertisements relative to my car brands and making some wall art. But if they are "collectible" to someone I hate to cut them up and trash them. Thoughts?
Look through the want-ads and die laughing.

First, search to see if they might be worth anything as a lot. If they are, sell them.
If they're not, offer them on Facebook or Craigslist for $5 or free.
Or call schools, psychiatric hospitals, preschools, nursing/retirement homes... a lot of them will use the magazines for crafts.
Hell, I'll take them. I already have a decent collection of mags from that era, but I could always use more.
Having said that, if shipping is too much of a hassle, I get it, but I'm willing to pay for it.
I just bought 2100 magazines x 20 boxes. $99. I can't save them all.
Mtrend, C&D, R&T - 1975 thru now.
I saved up to 1980 - the rest I went thru, cut out interesting articles and recycled. I have a 12" stack of articles to read through.
My brother in law's brother in law gave we a slug of R&T from the 70's most of which I once had. It is fun to page through them for a trip down memory lane. I especially like the used cars for sale in the back of the mag: Panteras, Cobras, and Ferrari Dinos for $15,000... Take a few photos for us.
The late 60's to the early 80's are my sweet spot for car mags, what with me being 63. I find them about 200 times more interesting than modern ones, with no offense intended to our hosts. I just have no interest at all in modern transportation appliances, even if they have 600 horse power.
In the short term, read them. If there's a whole box full that will take you a while.
I like them, but unfortunately the resale market for late 1970s car mags is not very good. If you were to set up a stand at a swap meet you'd probably be able to get $2 or $3 each, but it will take a long time to sell them all.

I have about 10 years of Panorama. I just shove them in paper boxes and toss them in the barn. Most are still in their plastic wrapper.
