I have an almost new Droid Charge 4G LTE phone that's set up for Verizon.
How do I figure out how much it's worth and where to sell it?
I hit craigslist and that didn't seem to be the place as I didn't find any cell phones for sale in my area.

Wait, a 4G Droid phone is old?
I have an old Motorola brick phone laying around somewhere, and my wife's old Star-Tac. I don't see them much anymore. I'm currently using my Motorola V195 flip-phone. I figured any of those might qualify as old, but a 4G Droid?
Well it's old to us. It lasted 2 months before he wanted to switch to the iPhone, which is much more phone.
eBay is a HUGE market for slightly used phones. Might not be the highest possible price, but your WILL find a buyer.
I've had decent luck with Gazelle. Not as much money as you'd get from CL or whatever, but much less of a pain. (And safer.)

Thanks, I'd never heard of them before.
They don't seem to even acknowledge this model exists, but I've sent them an email. Maybe it's too new of a model.
Wow i'm surprised on the CL... i'm not to far away in Houston and the used cell phone market is HUGE... I had a few old Iphone 3g phones that I had unlocked and was able to sell them for $100 and $125 (8gb/16gb) thats for a 5 year old phone lol...
... I'm putting my 2ish y/o unlocked android phones up next week and expect to get at least $100 each also.
I know part of the houston market advantage is the HUGE immigrant population, around here someone would buy your phone and hack it to work with cricket or something like that.
Sell it via CL, Amazon or Ebay.
If using CL, agree to meet the buyer at a VZ store which creates a neutral, safe ground and allows the buyer to have the store check out the handset before completing the transaction.
For setting a value:
Consult these two trusted websites that sell used handsets.
www.cowboom.com
www.mobilekarma.com
The buyer will want to know if it is a "Clean ESN"
ESN is electronic serial number.
Clean means that the handset can be activated freely. Handsets that have been reported stolen or are tied to an account that was past due and went into default will be "un-clean (dirty)" and can not be reactivated without satisfying the account balance.
Karma (re-Cellular) will also buy your handset. Yes, it will be a low price but they are playing the numbers game where much of what they take in site un-seen, is crap.

You probably just missed the DFW craigslist cell phone section. I just checked and its there under "For Sale."
I did a search and got nothing. I'll try again.
An individual can sell on Amazon? I thought that was just businesses.

Here are some DFW CL listings for a Charge.

On the CL main page, there is a cell phone section just two lines down from Cars&Trucks.
It is possible to sort the listings from owners vs from dealers. Much like Cars&Trucks, the dealers really crap-up the place.
Amazon does allow individuals to sell. If you have an account to buy, look at the very top of the Amazon page and you will see the choices of: Today's Deals, Gift Cards, SELL, Help. Click on sell and follow along.
You are so right. I was in electronics and all I got was a bunch of phone accessory junk.
Also it helps if you when you search for phone, or cell phone, or Droid you make sure the search title button is selected. Otherwise you get every listing that has phone anywhere in the post which means virtually every posting.
Thanks guys.
