I need some parts for my wife's new-to-us 2006 Toyota 4Runner. I don't have any experience in the Toyota world though. Are there dealerships (or other sources) that folks use for competitive parts pricing?

I'm sure you could type in any version of REALOEMTOYOTAPARTS.COM and get a hit. With a name like that how could you not give them your business?
if you have the 10 digit part number you can google it and many dealer based websites will pop with the part you seek.
if you need part numbers there is toyodiy.com
Your local dealer.
That's who I go to for OEM parts. I used to go to the Mazda dealer in town so much (when I had to Miata's and the ex-wife had a Mazda 3) I was on the wholesale discount.
They also could almost always have parts the next day vs waiting 3-5 for shipping from an online place.
I have bought from these people: http://www.toyotaonlineparts.com/

I was doing some checking and Camelback came up. That's who I would probably go with. You need to check the shipping cost. I used to buy Nissan parts from a dealer less than 60 miles away and his shipping it absurd. And I stopped in one day and they won't do the wholesale at the dealer, has to be on-line. Now I get them from dealers in AZ or CA and the shipping is cheaper. Go figure.
http://www.partznet.com is Conicelli Toyota - I've been ordering from them for years with great prices and shipping that is both cheap and fast (especially if you're on the East Coast).

I dunno. We get a 'discount' because an acquaintance works at the local dealer parts dept. Recently bought a throw out bearing and it was $20 more than online, including shipping and tax. And the dealer needed 4 days to have it here anyway.
