Another Nest if you can run the pellet stove off of a thermostat.

I looked into that. There's apparently a hack (developed by a guy that lives in a yurt I E36 M3 you not) to do it. I was a little leery of putting a 200 dollar thermostat in my garage but the it looks like the Honeywell Lyric T5's are 85 dollars and interface with Google home so that might be the ticket.

The Cyber Monday deal is actually Cyber week deal, so you too could get the $30 Dot and a $5 receptacle.
So does the dot do everything the larger one does?
In reply to Klayfish :
Not sure. It arrives tomorrow. I think we might wait until xmas to set it up, too.

You could also buy a Bluetooth receptacle and a rig up it's own plug in thermostat transformer circuit. Then just tell Alexa to turn on/off the outlet. It wouldn't be dependent on a temperature sensor so you would just ask Alexa to turn it on and off at specific times (if that's a thing)

I am trying to figure that out as well. I think the Dot-type ones are the same functionality but without the speaker/mic. I think you have to interface with it using your phone or computer. I think they only differ in how you interact with them but I think they do the same stuff. I would probably get a speaker version because if I'm going to get out my phone, open an app, and talk to the Dot that way, it isn't much of a benefit.
