They will build 247 of them because no one wants it. At the 2041 car auction it will sell for $2,000,000 because it is so rare.
Chrysler did the same thing in the 60's and it was awesome. GM does it and...
I don't have a problem with that colour. I hate that metallic burnt orange that everybody has now.

TROOF!!! I got no beef with purple. But that's not purple. It's Fuschia. Plum Crazy FTW.

They need to do a truly pink Camaro.
Even I like this color, it has painted on pearl white stripes. I would even like it if they did one in the nicer "dusk" rose/pinks of the 50's.
I wouldn't pick it but when it is nice and shiny the Camaro can pull it off. What will it look like in 5-10 years?
I like it. It must be tough for people who own new cars to find them in parking lots, since most of them are all the same shade of silver/grey. It's nice to see something outrageous once in a while.
If you look at it, a lot of car companies will put out one crazy color each year; they don't expect to sell a lot of them but it gets people talking.
The factory ran out of paint so they borrowed a drum from the Mabelene nail polish plant next door?
Or...
Ordered by the musician currently known as Prince?
That pinky purple is way better than the terrible green color they offer IMHO.
In reply to wearymicrobe: I've seen one of those pink ones. I thought it was a one off from Mary Kay or something.
I want a '60s Chevy someday, just because I really like Evening Orchid and there aren't many new cars that can pull it off.
I wish new cars could pull of bright colors, it would be great, or even colors stronger than black, white, or shades of beige.
Why can't this work?
the 96 Impala SS was available in a really cool dark shade of purple that almost looks black until the sun hits it just right.

VW did make beetles, gtis and jettas in that color not that long ago.

They were actually made for a "Gen5 forum" Camaro girls by a dealership owner. The Mary Kay ones are super pink.
