Anyone else see this over at Jalopnik? WTF is this all about? Anyone hip to Chinese culture? Is he dating the girl, meeting the mom, WTF?

I feel sorry for the guy then
Marketing gimmick?
There is still a large cultural difference between US and China. The commercial lets us believe that the Chinese are ready to welcome Americans to the up coming automobile market. They do this subtly by showing Chinese family types sort of welcoming Nicolas Cage after apparently some sort of automobile misadventure.
I'll probably buy a Chinese car off CL when they get to five hundred bucks or less.

Lookalike or rookarike? Badump Tsshhhh! Thank you, try the veal.
I'm pretty sure he was wanting to go out with a prominent drifters daughter (DK drift-king) and he had to sleep with anybody he couldn't outrun in a car race so he stopped time with his brain had some ex cons on a plane beat up the hot chick and the old lady then swapped their cars hence the look of surprise when they take off their helmets.
Then they all go back to the ghost-dragons lair and they have a few drinks and play pinball together after passing around a peace pipe and saving a Korean refugee upon whom he passes on the ability to make perfect batman suit replicas.
It wasn't even a car commercial. Just a big collage of Cage films... Like a tribute.
Gotta pay off al those back taxes somehow.

I wonder which Japanese car they reverse engineered to build it? That and I almost had a seizure from how many times they cut to a different camera.
It's an ad, who cars? cars sliding around doing spectacular stuff. Since when did ad's in any culture need to make sense.
I’ve personally never stumbled across a super model naked in a waterfall washing her hair and moaning like she’s about to climax, but we don’t tend to complain about those ad’s do we?

I do, but only because I don't live in Europe any more where they didn't bother with creative camera angles or cropping in those commercials...
