Seriously Google stop it. I get calls on all my office lines, via email even on my cell phone. It is getting to the point that they are REALLY pissing me off.

I don't give a rats A$$ if my profile is incomplete. In fact there may be a reason why it is incomplete. Ever think of that Google? It is called protecting MY INFORMATION.

Google ever here of the word "backlash" ? Ya keep it up and you will piss off other business owners like me to the point where we will make sure to never have any association with you and we will make sure to tell all our customers how much you annoy us.

Ok Rant over . .. . . I feel better now. .. . .

Did I mention how much Google really is anoying me?

I doubt it's actually Google.

Are they calling you on behalf of your business or calling you on behalf of your personal account?

I see no reason they would call you on behalf of your personal.
I suspect scam.

If calling about business I also suspect that it is not really Google calling but rather a company that does "reputation management" or Search Engine Optimization (SEO).
For both of these there are legitimate offers and companies but there are many more of them that are scam and fraud.

I recommend you inquire deeper as to who is really calling you and why.

I also suspect scam. As I too have never been called by Google. I've multiple accounts with them, including business accounts. Never a call.

Now Tim/Scott/George, with the heavy Indian accent, they call all the time from the IRS. I'm sure that's just as real.

Yeah, I too get "Google" calls. This is a well known scam and in no way related to Google.

How in the world would Google get your phone number? Sounds like a scam to me.

Google is evil, but that doesn't stop me from using them on my phone everyday for search, maps, and email. I use Startpage as my default search engine on my PC. Just to keep some of my personal info away from the Googles.

The messed up part is the numbers are BRAND NEW!!!! I moved the company and the calls are all comming in on the new numbers. Serious PITA as it keeps interrupting me form actually getting real work done.

I think I will just put the phone on night line for a month.

Is that phone number associated with a domain name registration? I highly suspect that is where the scammers pulled my phone # from. Of course, once one scammer gets a confirmed number in their database, that will propagate to further call attempts for all eternity most likely.

Nope brand new number just turned it on a week ago. I wonder if it belonged to some one else. I just registered all of my #'s on the do not call list I wonder if that will help at all.

If this is not google they really should consider going after these people as it is making Google look REALLY bad.

In reply to dean1484:

I was just going to add that phone numbers might be brand new to you, but the previous owner may have let it go because he was inundated by spam calls...

I know business lines are recycled quite a bit in some markets.

I know the do not call registry has no effect on the "google" calls I have received as they do not appear to originate from a legal business operating inside the framework of US law. Interestingly, the calls I get are always from a different incoming number, but it is always a similar recording claiming to be from Google.

I was receiving at least 1-2 calls daily for a while. I stopped answering any incomming calls from numbers I don't recognize and they seem to have become less frequent over time.

Sorry Dean, sounds like you are caught up in somebody else's nightmare. As you only had the numbers for a week.. can you afford to get new ones?

You'll need to log in to post.
