A former roommate left a plastic tub with a Xbox 360 and about 10 "HALO" games. I've never played the thing and have no interest in it. Is this worth my trying to sell or should I just donate it to the Salvation Army?

Hunnerd bucks maybe? Worth at least a quick run through on ebay to check sold listings.
Depends how you value your time.
With what you've mentioned- about where Gameboy said.
There are some interesting possibilities within what you've got, but you'd have to want to put the time into investigating to care, and want to deal with what is the collectors market, also known as the 7th circle of hell. COVID really berkeleyed what was already a bad place to be- its all full of people trying to berkeley each other over now. BUT-
If it was an old 360 fat, and it still has the old "blades" UI- collectors are into that E36 M3. Old non updated consoles are starting to bring money. IIRC most of the halo games aren't worth a ton- $10-20 each at the most.
It's up to you what you want to do with that information.
