I think we need an annual forum awards show. I'm thinking held at the challenge. JG could livestream. Yeah, I know, everyone hates award shows. But hear me out. Here are both my proposed categories, and my proposed nominees:
Enabler of the Year (This would be the "Big Kahuna", equal to "Best Picture" or "Best Album"):
akylekoz - for helping me put my son in an SX4. Started off with "I'm thinking of buying a $700 Suzuki, anybody interested if I decide not to keep it?" Ends up helping me haul it back to his place and drop a clutch into it. We would need to flesh out the qualifications for enabler of the year, but I'd say it should center around talking people into projects they would otherwise avoid, with bonus points for contributing actual labor, funds, technical know-how, recon runs, food, etc.
Project of the Year:
VegasNick - for this little gem: stupid cool Charger build. This would be the best of the "build threads".
Say What? Award:
Appleseed - for "The top of Mt. Everest is littered with the frozen corpses of what were once highly motivated individuals". Best forum quote of the year, obviously.
Prizes? Maybe a forum user tag similar to the Dork/Megadork, etc. Say, for example: Enabler of the Year, 2019. Could either be judged by Magazine staff off from forum nominations or an "upvote tally" if you prefer democracy.
