I didn't ask this question. It looks interesting, I admit.

I like the looks...
It's its a small four seater. However it isn't. I just feel that this will be silly and horrible.
Women will LOVE IT. It'll do well in SoCal, with a waiting list....as long as it's not over-priced....
Nissan usually doesn't make decisions this bad.
So it's a convertible that's good in the snow, a crossover with no cargo space and back seats that aren't easily accessible all wrapped in a package with humdrum handling and humdrum fuel efficiency.
Even Detroit didn't think of something this dumb.

I imagine that they will be loosing touch with so cal soon as they have moved their HQ from Orange County, CA to the south (TN or KY I think)
Renault has at least 1 or 2 models in it's lineup that probably "inspired" Nissan's designers to give this a try. Then someone, somewhere at the higher levels of Nissan probably said "Audi, Acura, and BMW are building these all-wheel-drive "coupes"....let's be the first with an AWD convertible?"
Nissan expects that this version of the Murano will sell in limited numbers, like the ZDX at Acura and the X6 M at BMW. Hey, in a tightening car market, I guess you gotta try anything and everything to gain a few sales.

Developing a car that no one in their right mind would want does not seem the way to go about it.
Well, OK, maybe it is, considering some of the E36 M3 people pay a lot of money for.

seems that a lot of companies are going for "polarizing" rather than "mass appeal" with some of their new designs
I like it. Not in the "I want it" category, but I don't have the urge to douse it in gasoline and light it on fire.
Its one of the jukes ugly stepsisters, but theres no glass slipper in this story...just a car shredder that stays a car shredder at midnight.

You just can't imagine buying it because you have sense. I see this being very popular with young gals who really want a Mustang convertible to cruise around in, but whose mommies and daddies want them to have something "safe".
Yeah, I'm sure my wife will instantly want one, well until she sees the price tag and then remembers that her '04 saturn vue gets better gas mileage and is paid for.
I predict it will sell very well to the rich folks who want to get a cute car for their teenage daughters.
After seeing the thread on dolls I don't doubt that there may be a market for impractical convertible not-really trucks

I'm sure there's a concept drawing of a convertible Aztek in a Detroit file cabinet.
