Your State Have a Parody Song?

Mine does and it's fantastic:

I wrote one when I lived in Idaho, but i couldn't get anyone to sing it,as they didn’t want to be the "ho".

After spending most of my life in Maryland I have come to the realization that Maryland is indeed a cult, not a state.  And Marylanders will put their flag on ANYTHING.  Sorry, not really a parody.

I grew up in Delaware and have been in Maryland for 20+ years now. The MD cult thing is accurate.

To be fair, they have a pretty awesome flag. It's a design that should be too complicated for its own good but somehow really works. (Never lived there myself, but my home state has had a series of unfortunate, boring, or way too busy flags - sometimes several of those categories at once.)

Not my state, but my city has a parody song:

I'm from West Virginia.  We don't need a song to make fun of us.  

I'm sure there's a few songs about beer and cheese out there but Wisconsin deer season is upon us so the radio stations will be playing this about once a day now depending on how far north you are in the state.

On the other hand we discovered this gem in college and made it the SAE shop parody anthem.

As someone whose significant other is from Maryland....we have 9 different types of Old Bay in the spice rack and almost every single one of his shirts have either the Maryland flag, a crab or a crab colored in with the Maryland flag.
