1940s era Southbend 16" lathe.
Currently a box of parts. I pulled it down with the intention of cleaning it up and painting it. Some parts have been cleaned. Some parts have been primed. Some parts have been nickle plated. It has the taper attachment, a steady rest, the collet draw bar, and a bucket of misc tooling that will come with it. I have also bought and tested a 12 amp inverter VFD to run the 3-phase motor that will be included as well. Also included is the felt and seal kit and the instruction manual for the installation.
As bought.
There is a build thread that shows what I have done so far. Lots of pictures here. Southbend 16
Located in Charleston SC. I have a gantry to get it loaded on your trailer. Needs to be a pretty decent trailer. All in weight is about 2900 pounds.
Asking $500, which is slightly less than I have in it.
