My grandson and I are working on bringing a 1980 924 NA back to life. I bought the car because the PO had done a lot of work on the body, including a new front end, new front fenders, and new rear fenders. The metal work is very good. As we got into the motor and electrical situation, we found that the emission equipment is missing. California is picky about the smog system. There is no Evaporative Emission Control, or Oxygen Sensor System. The catalytic converter and auxiliary air regulator are present. There is an O2 sensor in the exhaust pipe, but the wiring is missing. The Hanes manual notes Air Injection and Exhaust Gas Recirculation were not placed on these cars. It is interesting to note that there are no holes or room for holes in the fender area where hoses are normally seen for the carbon canister. So I am looking for the parts from a 1980 parts car to reinstall the EEC and OS systems so the car will pass smog. Please PM me if you would like to sell me these parts.
