Anyone in the area have use for a gently used Harbor Freight temporary garage frame? The canvas blew apart over the winter and I ended up getting a shed.
Currently disassembled, all the hardware is there apart from I think one stripped carriage bolt or nut.
I was able to buy a set of replacement canvas a couple years ago, no clue on current cost or availability. Tarp, greenhouse, profit ?

The ShelterLogic replacement tarps are pretty expensive and the upgraded ones are ridiculous! I needed a spot to put our lawn equipment for the winter, so I went searching FB Marketplace for some sort of shelter. Actual carports were too much $$$ and even the used ones were pricey. I found just what you have, the framework from a temporary shelter which was $100 and about 20 minutes from our house. I then set out to figure the best way to cover it and checked out heavy duty tarps, billboard tarps, metal roofing, greenhouse clear plastic and more. I ended up calling a local metal roofing/siding supplier and speaking with one of their salespeople about my project. He priced out regular metal and then said that they had some "seconds" on-hand. It was stuff that was a few thousandths of an inch under spec and was discounted from the "first run" pricing. He put together a quote for the metal and screws which was actually cheaper than buying the heavy replacement tarp from ShelterLogic. The pieces that I purchased still had good end panels/doors, so I reused them before attaching the metal. It took me 1/2 a day to assemble the frame by myself and level the boards to mount it on. My brother helped me install all the metal which took us about 6 hours to complete. Basically 2 days in total to have a semi-permenant shelter that has withstood an average winter here in northeast PA with no issues. It's time to take out the zero-turn and put the skidsteer in there until winter comes along.
These frames can be made into a very durable shelter for vehicles or equipment with the addition of some metal siding. That siding can be sourced new or used as I've seen lots of it on CraigsList and marketplace as well.

Solid ass idea with the metal roofing! That plus a couple end walls and a couple doors.
has me rethinking turning the frame down yesterday.
guess I'll take it

Danke
It's pretty easy, I did it, so it can't be too hard. My framework was 20' long, so I ordered material 20'6" long to have a 3" overhang on each side. The metal covers 36" in width per piece, so after measuring the length up and over the framework it was just a matter of dividing by 36 to get the number of pieces needed. I put my framework on top of 2 pressure treated 6x6x20's once I had the area leveled. Each side needed to be level but not necessarily to one another. More important was to make sure it's square by pulling cross measurements. My one side is a few inches lower. Once the frame was all bolted together and the 6x6 leveled, it was just a matter of lifting it and screwing the plates into the 6x6.

I will make a build thread. I'll be cutting the length down to make use of the space available and 12' sheets in stock at menards. Will have to go borrow my parents tractor and scrape the area first then build a wood perimeter and get a load of gravel for the floor and around the outside.

This is a great Idea. I just replaced the cover on my shelter logic a couple weeks ago. Price went up about $70 since last time i bought one and the removed one of the doors. So now only 1 end has a zip up door instead of both. I was a bit annoyed about that. I will have to remember this when its time to replace again.

What kind of cost are you talking with the metal siding for that? And what about if no discount, like if someone couldn't find the deal you found?
I'm into mine for just under $1000. The frame was $100, metal was $750 if I'm remembering it correctly and then $20-30 for some additional screws.
