Engine is located in Jackson Michigan.
This is the little engine that powered my Miata for 70K miles. The engine was pulled in April of 2018 and has been sitting on the sideline ever since. The engine was fully rebuilt 70K miles ago and was in perfect running order when pulled.
This engine was originally from a 1993 Ford festiva, however it will bolt up to a Miata transmission.
To make this engine actually run in a Miata it will require a megasquirt and crank trigger ignition.
I have no idea why anybody would want this engine, but this is GRM and you never know.

I don't know why I want it but you saying that makes me want it more.
Any way you’ll be passing through SC anytime soon?
In reply to Stampie :
You could build your very own 50 MPG Miata!
In reply to spitfirebill :
Not any time soon

Or bolt it to a miata trans and put it in a RX-7 because 1.3 liter.

That would be cool. Turbo it too.

I'm imagining a 130hp, turbo'd 3 banger Miata. 50mpg when you need, stock power levels when you want it. Turbo noises for panty dropping.

I asked him. We’ll see. How close are you to him?

I'm in chicago and have a close buddy in detroit, but we won't have capability to bring an extra engine with us to the challenge.
Yea it’s not going to work. I didn’t need the distraction anyway.
That's actually a really cool swap. And I just imagined a modern version, where a 3-cylinder Ecoboost engine gets swapped into a MX-5. Probably not as bolt-in as this one though.

It won't work because of logistics, or it won't work for the application you were thinking of ? If it's the former, I could get the motor from Doc and get it to Gainesville.
Logistics although I didn’t have a set plan for it anyway.
Deadskunk is closer to Doc than I am, but i can get it from Doc and get it to Gainesville. I won’t know til Monday or Tuesday if Greenville is in the cards for me. If I don’t have my Indiana passenger, then I can pass through GSP area on my way down or back.

I'll be in Charlotte weekend before Thanksgiving. I may have room for it. Think you could meet me? Or I'll be in Charleston from that Saturday evening until Friday after Thanksgiving. That'll get it from Challenge to you.
I read all the way through both of the build threads, again.
Really cool.

Thanks!
I really enjoyed the Miata with the smaller engine, The little B3 has the perfect amount of torque for a daily driver. Once I put the stock (ish) engine back in the car, I pretty mush lost interest in the project.
The engine is FREE to whomever can pick it up. FREE. FREEE FREEEE FREEEEE FREEEEEEEE!
I like your style. If I was in the area I’d help you out.
I need to look into this a little more tomorrow. I’ll be in Wisconsin in a couple weeks. Maybe I could pick this up...
