Looking for a set of these, they came on Mk4 Jetta's, New Beetles and I think a few other VW's of the late 90's early 00's...

Thanks! I pinged him and he doesn't want to ship them. I'd have to sell off the tires as well, they're the wrong size for my car. Not a big deal but I don't really want to pay the additional amount to ship the wheels with the tires even if I could get someone local to the seller to pick them up for me...

Wild, these are my old set, I refinished them last year! Paid way too much to have one of the titanium bolts extracted at a machine shop, actually. I'm actually going to probably go buy them back this coming week to put on a different Mk4 TDI. I also had a line on another set (that needed refinishing) for $100. I could see if they are still available (but you'd still have to ship, since I'm in NE).
They made the same style wheel in 17x8 on some Volvos (C70s maybe?) apparently, I saw some adapted onto a 240 that looked really good.

If you could check, I'd appreciate it. The set I missed locally was $250 and were in pretty good shape.
84FSP, people are asking stupid money but don't seem to realize you can buy a completely refinished set off eBay for $800 shipped. So I'm not willing to pay $4-500 for a set that needs to be refinished, especially if they're not local and I have to pay shipping too...

To follow up, I did check and they had, of course, sold. I am in some Mk4 TDI groups, I will keep an eye out if any pop up.

Thanks! Looks like if I don't find a set in decent shape locally my best bet is to buy a refinished set off eBay for $800 shipped. It's not worth me paying $3-400 + shipping for a set that still needs to be refinished...
Purely out of curiosity, why this wheel? Snows for the Rrrrrr? I bought a set of 18x8 OZ Alleggeritas for $500. $800 for a set of 20yo BBS seems a bit steep to me.

I want them for the incoming Corrado. They're period correct and will look good on the car, as well as being a +1 wheel size upgrade...
Those are in great shape but dark red won't look good on a british racing green car. Thanks for thinking of me tho!!
So a set popped up locally on Facebook marketplace. I pinged the seller and told him I want them and will buy them. He's seeing/reading my messages but he won't respond with a time/place to meet. Argh!
There's 3 only advertised on a parts group with other wheels. Painted gold and have bbs center caps. $25 a wheel in Rhode Island, not sure if they'll ship.
Last year I did drive to Rhode Island one morning for the sole purpose of buying limited edition cider, so there's that.
Guy pinged me around lunch today but I can't seem to get him to give me a time/place to meet up. Not sure what's going on with this dude.
And he's marked them sold now. MF'er! Another set popped up locally but with tires that I don't need (wrong size) and more money. Hopefully I can go look at them today and get those for a decent deal...
Got a set. Spent more than what the other set was listed for and honestly these need to be refinished, but they're mine. They have Hankook winter i pikes on them, two are wasted and the other two are 15 years old, so all of them are going in the bin.
Tire Rack has the 205-45-16 RE71R's on close out, I'll probably buy them. I don't plan on auto-xing the car but I also won't put that many street miles on them, so the super sticky tires will last a long time and be a whole lot more fun compared to the Continental Contact Sport's that are my other option...
