i found away if you have trouble with flairing of the stainless steel cover? here is an idea that works great for me.. in the area i want to cut..i dribble some superglue on the stainless steel braid wrap.. let it seap down to the hose.. , wrap it with electrical tape,, let this cure for a minute.. then with your cable cutter.. cut the hose half way on the electrical tape., round up the hose as you would normaly do,. unwrap the left over tape.. then install your AN fitting on..this makes it much eaier to do

Are you saying the super glue helps keep it from fraying?

I thought a thousand puncture wounds in my fingers was just a right of passage with AN lines.... (grin)

LOL it would be nice to have a finished hose without blood on it.
