Thoughts on this thing?  https://www.walmart.com/ip/LUXOAK-Portable-Car-Lift-Capable-of-Lifting-5000-LBS-Quick-Jack-with-a-Maximum-Height-of-26-Car-Lifts-for-Workshop-and-Home-Garage-Black/15213422052?wmlspartner=wlpa&selectedSellerId=102701836&gQT=2

I've got a major project in the wings.  Small car.  Will need to do some welding for body work, a little frame & suspension work, driveline swap etc.  Money says it's either something like this or new way-tall jackstands and all of that, which aren't exactly cheap.

Thinking of something like this combined with a roll-over rotisserie when the time comes.  Is there something else I should be considering besides the above linked lift?  Trying to think of something that is pretty open so work space isn't too badly blocked.

No thoughts on that system but I enjoy my Quickjack set up. And they are on sale right now per their website: https://quickjack.com/memorial

Update:  I believe I found the same general lift that I linked to in my first post, but this is the 7,000 lb version, with a max lift (using included accessories) of 28".  Another ton of capacity and 2" greater lift over the "Luxoak" lift for $100 more.  Seems worth it to me.  Link: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0F6KDTKY4?smid=A3R4H3KIRZPWVT&th=1

If they are anything like the quickjacks, the 7000 series will be longer than the 5000 series. I went with 5000 for the Miata, would love a 7000 for more vehicles but it wouldn’t fit between the wheels.

I do wish they came with SS braided lines instead of the silicone or whatever lines they come with. They have a few scuffs on the lines from being caught up under the jack.

Just checked the link in OP again. It says it comes with 4 locking levers. From what I gather, they are bars with pins that fit into the X sections. I can see that being an absolute pain to line up, expecially 4x. The quickjacks have a single bar per side that uses gravity to lock into place. I am not sure on shear strength but it seems like the vehicle weight is held by those 4 pins instead of a levered notch. When I want to lower the lift, I just my foot to lift the rod on each side.

Just my 0.02c

Yeah I've already received the lift.  Have not taken it out of the boxes yet; have been busy with other stuff.  Not able to verify the locking setup.  Hrm.  The lift I got is definitely not fun to move.
