Tools you regret buying

I figured I would put a fun spin on the tool porn threads.  I'll go first.   So I have a crimper set for making battery cables that I bought off of the USA Tools truck a few years back for like $125.  Two days later I see a online ad for the same exact tool set at Harbor freight for like $65.  That was the last time I ever bought anything from Harbor freight on wheels.  I also have a Snap-On brake caliper tool that I hate but have been using for years and don't do anything about it for some reason,  it too hard to get extended out to the piston.  You have to hold both plates and work the lever at the same time or it all just spins, been junk since day one. Lastly I have a Matco 3/8" electric ratchet that has sucked since day one but the shop I'm at now doesn't have a Matco guy and Matco won't help us out with getting someone to stop by.

This heavy son of a bitch. I looked it up. Dewalt says it weighs 48 pounds. 
 

I've always avoided using it because it's so big and heavy. It lives on a shelf in my shed, and last week I noticed it was causing the shelf to sag pretty badly so I decided to get it out and sell it on Marketplace. In the process of moving it out of the shed I strained my back. Now, I'm on a heating pad and pain meds waiting for it to calm down. As soon as I'm mobile again this bastard is gone. G. O. N. E.

It seemed like such a good idea. Quiet, convenient.  It sucks so hard. It is too slow like 500sfpm instead of 3500sfpm so it manages to wear out Cubitron belts much faster than my pneumatic sander.

I'm literally using mine right now. I love it! You need the stand- folds up and rolls right in the shop.

I have a Ryobi finger sander that's basically worthless. It doesn't have enough power to do anything, particularly on steel; as soon as you apply pressure (to, y'know, profile a workpiece) it bogs down and stops. That was a waste of money.

That was, however, a cheap waste of money. I have some tools on which I've spent thousands that I've not even successfully used (including one pipe bender that I swear will be useful some day). 

MAC 3/8 composite body impact. Paid $100, used on CL. Absolutely nothing wrong with the tool, but a month later, for Christmas, I bought a pile of DeWalt 20v tools, including the big bastard 899 1/2 impact.

Haven't touched it since.

OTC 6580 Strut Tamer

It does the job and has never failed to work on any coil-over type strut or shock I've tried, but it's really meant to be permanently mounted to a wall or cart.  So far, the easiest way I've found to use it is to bolt it to a 4x4 with a small piece of angle bolted to the other side, which I then clamp to my bench vice. Then the weight of it is on the floor (it's a heavy SOB) and the vice holds it in place. Yes... that sounds like a PITA and it is.  I've bought other strut compressors, but the OTC always works, despite the setup contortions...  So maybe "regret" is too strong a word...  annoyed is probably more apt.
