Relevant! Would love an electric one, didn't even know these existed until this year, but do want.
A buddy of mine got a sketchy adapter kit off of Amazon and turned an angle grinder into one. Sketch level is high but it works. That's about all I know about them.

5/8"-11 is the magic thread pitch for most angle grinders. I believe his kit was metric threaded and he had a spare European grinder floating around his desk.
I have the harbor freight electric version and have used it about five times so far. I got it on Clist and it came with a box of belts. The average life of the belts is 45 seconds. With good quality belts it will be a good addition to my flap disk on an angle grinder.
I've got a couple pneumatic dynabrade knock-offs. I generally prefer electric tools but for these it seems that electric would be much bulkier.
