That was fun. I saved a couple of replays, I'll try to remember to put them on my storefront. I think I actually won a race or two (the fast guys took each other out, I guess) that night! Usually, when Bootsy or Fink shows up, I'm instantly mid-pack.

Two replays from that Miata night are up on my storefront. "Miata Madness" 1 & 2, or something equally obvious. If anybody else got one, post it up! I should have saved every one of them, it was epic stuff.

Now that the kids are home from the dorm, my FM4 time will be rather limited, except when they go out of town later this month. Gotta have another one of those Miata nights, and I'll be sure to put my ITC cars in the club garage (just in case ) Most of my FM4 club (Allied Forces) loves the whole Spec Miata thing, so chances are we can get a packed lobby again.

In reply to FlyinMikeyJ:

That would be seriously cool. One thing to note, though..I set the lobby for stock because it seems every club has a different definition of what "Spec" Miata actually is. I've discovered that when I do this, we actually do more racing because we don't dither with each other about our clubs' different philosophies. I just do NA ones because I'm an older guy..I wouldn't be opposed to doing NB or NCs, I just never thought of it.

Stock Miata works fine for casual race lobbies. Its a fun car to race whether there are four or fourteen in the lobby.

And you sir are correct when you say that every different club has a different idea of what "spec" Spec Miata should be run. Heck, TORA has run them three different times, and each time used a different build sheet.

Playing around with the heavy weights. 5000 pound minimum, 600 HP max. That allows all the big wagons, SUV's Trucks and a few cars in.

Look for "Whale Wars, 5000, 600hp" in a lobby near you

Meh, I don't like to acknowledge that SUVs are in the game in the first place... not into "dumbing down for the masses", a process oft too repeated in the US.

But next time I see Stock Miatas or Sub 200HP C Class, I am all-in.

^ LOL

Anyway, I'm gonna be a bit busy getting ready for the TORA 24H of LeMans. I'm hitting 4:06/4:07s. The fast guys are in the 3:58 range. I have some catching up to do, and only three weeks to do so... or else I'll be "the rich guy that funds the operation and thinks he's a race driver".

Heh. That's why I run Club Racing lobbies. Jeez, if I wasn't fast enough to attract the attention of Pro team managers when I ran as an amateur..what's the chance that I'll be any faster than that in a stinking videogame?

^ I'll get closer with practice. I've only raced LM once or twice since last year's race. Besides, I gave up my spot on the Peugeot team to someone who can help them win, and started a "gentlemen racer" team for myself and three friends of similar pace. Since we're in the Jag and not a 458, the LMP cars should be safe around us though.

I started a thread here r.e. the 4H of LeMons as well.

My thoughts are LeMons + FM4 = win.

I had hosted a New Year's Eve ChumpCar 100 on RA Club last year, and while it had a small 12 car field and half of the racers were quite intoxicated (raises hand) we had a blast with it. Stretching it to 4 hours will just enhance the fun factor, as entries can be 1,2,3 or even 4 drivers per car.

I'm not going to pimp TORA or my own series, but have the builds for the Vintage Trans Am that I am currently hosting, as well as a Vintage GT-B series that I'll be hosting early on in 2014.

Both have been thoroughly tested for performance balance, the GT-B seems even more equal, while the Trans Am has proven to be a surprising success. If I can get a mostly British site to support American Muscle Cars, and the drivers are 75% British, then I feel I have done good.

If anyone here wants the build list for either class, let me know and I will gladly post them. I'd like to see a vintage racing movement on Forza, and you guys can help it spread.

Instead of buying Xbox One, I should just dust off Forza.
Main problem is that my work schedule sucks, but that might be for the best, I'm a bit of a hack as an e-racer
(not much better IRL, but that's neither here nor there)

In reply to Flyin Mikey J: Single player 'series championships' consist of 10 races. There are only 14 tracks. Single player may not hold much interest for long.

Since Forza is my track methadone, I sold off all my 360 stuff and picked up Forza 5.

Despite the Forza 2 level of cars and tracks, I'm still having a lot of fun with it. The drivatars in single player on the higher difficulty levels are like playing in a good online race. And once I figured out to buy cars outside of events so they're not automatically upgraded, the racing has been a lot better.

I stand corrected, D class is the lowest, and the Bug is indeed D100.

I haven't tried them yet, but the engine swaps are a bit more generic this time, and seem to allow many of the more popular swaps. As a matter of fact, there's a 5.7 liter engine that makes around 325 horsepower that goes into nearly EVERYTHING. I wonder what that could be...
