Just FYI, V5 gave me a bunch of texture errors... wheels are just gray, and the rearview mirror doesn't work while driving.

I will take another look and see if I can get to the skin for the rollbar.
- if you can't figure it out we can hop on discord so I can guide you, or send you the files and put them back with KNedit once you are done

If you really want to get fancy, swap the interior from a stock 60's Camero (if there is one in AC)
- don't think there is, but if we find one that isn't encrypted I'd be game for giving it a try. Should help with immersion

I don't think Loosecannon is using VR, but that would really pump that. BTW, VR is not ideal for competitive racing (you loose peripheral vision with most, so it's hard to keep track of cars)
- He isn't, he is using one of the rigs he bought for his sim racing business. And, I've learned the hard way that is the case, as I managed to push Rodan out of the track 4 or 5 times in a single race without having ANY idea he was there. That prompted the switch from full VR to just using the headset to create a big screen when I race with you guys.

There is an LOD generation feature in Content Manager, but the app needed for it (poly cruncher) is missing, so if you find that, let us know, and we can put it in our resources folder.
- I'll take a look later, once I have time to switch to my PC. I might have found the command line version but need to test it first and can't on my mac.

That... sucks. Seems something broke while importing the wheels. Will take a look later. Hopefully I can fix that and we won't have to go back to the stock look.
I have upgraded both the rev004 and rev005 cars with TC & ABS. Both are in the google drive. I was having issues with the rev005. It would crash when I tried to use it so I packed the data and then tried it and it worked. But it is still complaining about something in the model. So I added the files needed for the TC and ABS and then re packed it it again and it is all set. I did the same for the rev004 car. Both cars still have the data folders in them.
A general note about the ABS and the TC. The LOWER the number the more TC or ABS you have. So TC set to 1 will be much more intrusive than if it is set to 12. Same for ABS. You can of course turn the all the way off if you want.
It is set up so you can dial the settings in the way you want it and then save the cars setup and the TC and ABS will save as part of the set up.
And the TC and ABS are cockpit adjustable if you have assigned buttons on your wheel for it.

Thank you. I will just load the whole file then change the things I had changed before. I look forward to trying it. Is the new graphics all included there or is that still being worked on?
I think the graphic issues will still be there. I don't think pigeon has done anything with the car since his last set of upgrades.
If you're lucky your car set up files might still work with the new car. What you'll notice is a new electronics tab in the car set up section and in there you'll find traction control and ABS settings.
Another sidenote from a driving perspective the hood on the 004 version plays much nicer with my view when driving the car, but I'm assuming the 005 version more accurately represents your specific car and your specific hood.
I really enjoy driving the car. I did some laps at Watkins Glen short course. It is a fun car to throw around. I could see us doing a series or something with this.

Then I should share the changes I made because they make the car much closer to what it actually drives like. I increased brake force, added some power and changed the brake percentage and even though the balance is awesome on a road course, on an autocross course it pushes so I made the rear bar adjustable so I can stiffen it when I autocross it.

Aha. So I have competition from other species too now. Need to up my game.
Correct on the changes though. Haven't touched anything since yesterday, today was dedicated to actual car maintenance. Although my back would really prefer it if I had worked on the Camero instead.
Didn't have the chance to test the car but from yours and Rodan's comments it seems the thing broke once the new wheels went on. Which is not really a huge surprise since KNedit sucks and I don't yet know how to make it play ball once things change.
Dean, I know your Assetto car collection makes men envy you and brings hard drives to their knees. Any chance you have an unencrypted car with wheels closer to Loosecannon's? The ones I've put on there were only meant as placeholders anyway since the stock ones were so far off.
Oh, and air said you should find a stock camaro too so I can try ripping the interior :D
Loosecannon:
Regarding Dean's comments on the scoop - I have no idea if the height is correct or not. Made all the changes based on pictures from your build thread instead of actual measurements, so most things are way off. Think of it as the Temu version of your car :D Still, I can always make changes if needed, and if the scoop is higher and obstructing your view more than in your car that is something that should be rectified.
Also, found and tested the command line tool version of Polygoncruncher, I've uploaded the zip file to the transfer folder
Ok I zipped up my version and shared it, hopefully I did that correctly. The version I made is accurate to my car in 1/4 mile times and brake feel. I'm not sure my cars steering is as heavy but I need to go drive it to check that. Can we change the name of the car to ProTouring Camaro?
Brake feel may or may not translate from one user to another because of differences with the Sim rigs
dean1484 said:Brake feel may or may not translate from one user to another because of differences with the Sim rigs
Ok, on our rigs with 3100 for brake force, you had to really stand on the brakes to lock them up and I know my wife will immediately complain about that so I increased it to 3500, then 4000 and eventually 5000 where it feels about right.
I'm sorry, I don't know but is there a version on the shared file that has all the upgrades you guys have done? I want to load the latest version and try it out but am not sure what that is
I loaded Rev005 with abs and tc and love the way it looks, however it suddenly seems to have lost a ton of power. I thought maybe the tc is causing this so I turned all that off and it didn't help. I tried adding power to the LUT file and that didn't change it so I'm not sure what is going on. I'm going to revert to the "marksversion" because even though that one doesn't look as good as Rev005, it drives amazing
Did you try Rev004 with Tc and ABS?
There are still some little changes to the 'Loosecannon' mesh to be made once I get the time, like lowering the hood scoop, and finding more appropriate wheels that don't break other textures. Those can be added to whichever version you feel is closest to your car.

I did not and here's why. Speedworld Indoor Kart Track is my baby and Simul8 Racing is my wife's baby. I don't mess with her sims and she doesn't mess with my karts. I love racing on her sims but I have to get her to load the Mods onto them. I get the big eye roll when I want her to add this car or that. These are publicly used sims so anything that potentially causes a problem with them is going to be met with resistence-lol. Anyways, she loaded the beta version of the car and as I said before, it handled great but the power was way off and it had that weird thing where the TC was on and it had no acceleration. Once I added some power, an adjustable rear sway bar and some brake force, it was pretty much flawless except for the TC glitch. When she downloaded the Rev005withTCandABS file to the sim. I drove it for a lap and it seemed great and looked great but power was way down. I changed the power and brake numbers to exactly what I had with the beta version and it didn't get faster at all. In desperation I just added another 100 hp at each rpm across the board and it seemed to make no difference. TC was turned off so that wasn't it. I dunno, we are going to go back to the Beta version, which drove great even if the wheels aren't right. Note that this car is getting driven by the public and there was some strange things happening when multiple versions of it were on track at the same time. The wheels/tires would flash pink and as said earlier, the rear view mirror doesn't work. I would still like the car to look more like my car and I wonder if it's possible to make those changes to the car I loaded to the shared file without causing it to be slower.
How exactly are you making changes to the car?
What interface are you using to access Assetto Corsa?

It's on a desktop computer, IIRC I go to Assetto Corsa file, Content, Cars, Loosecannon Camaro, Data then make changes to brakes, setup, car and power files. The power file is edited in Notepad and saved. This all worked swimmingly on the first car but not this latest one
