I introduced my 12 year old to Gran Turismo 4 on my PS2 (nothing but the latest tech here!) and he's hooked. He's got a Switch and wants something as close as possible to Arcade mode on GT4. He's not interested in a career mode.
Obviously I am 20 years out of date so I have no idea what's out there. He's on a 12 year old's budget so he can't just try a bunch of stuff to try it. Suggestions?
I'm not really sure with regards to the switch hardware and what sim games are actually available on it. Mndsm might know some though.
BUT
Gamefly is still a thing, and they have switch rentals so he could try a bunch of stuff out cheap Link like Netflix used to be, they'll send you physical copies, play then, return at your leisure. It might work into nephew's budget as a good way to test some stuff out.
Interesting idea on the rentals, I'll look into it.
To be clear, he's not interested in ultimate driving fidelity. He just wants something that's not Mario Kart but instead has real race cars on a track.
