You can turn off TC
Yeah I got sick of turning them off every time when I was running through them the first time. If you see it on the record time that means I haven't gone back to set a time since the first run through.
Here's something scandalous, sometimes, when I'm feeling lazy, I actually run with a slushbox. Oh the shame!
I'm trying to wean myself off from all of the assists, but I missed out on the $20 million "bonus" glitch and don't feel like grinding for hours on license tests and seasonal events I missed by getting the game late, so feel free to disregard any times I post.
I suppose we could develop an unofficial board "PAX factor" for the various cheats.

What you need is a 13yr old boy. I left him to his own devices for a couple days and now all the content is unlocked. All the championships and tests are done and I'm a gazillionaire with a full garage.
I'm off to host a server and run my 2002tii around Apricot Hill for a few hours - as soon as I figure out how to get him out of the chair :)
So I played for about 5-6 hours last night with the wheel. I love this damn game! Much more fun with a wheel. The cars feel more nervous on the edge of grip, as they would in real life. The break away characteristics feel a bit more lifelike, and suspension tuning has a more dramatic affect on the cars.
I like the good wood races, too bad there aren't more of them (yes I made it to the redbull car). Mission races and license tests are pretty fun too. I haven't done any of the seasonals yet, but hopefully they pay out good like they did in GT5.
Yup, I really don't like playing with the controller. Way more fun and interesting with the wheel. I am pretty sure it compensates the handling a bit when you are o a controller, which is good.
If some one gets a chance: I want to find out if you can "piggyback" into a friends only room by being a friend of someone in the room who is NOT the host.
I am not sure you can do that anymore in GT6. If not I may need to gain a lot more friends.
A wheel makes all the difference and a good wheel makes even more difference. I love my Fanatec Porsche GT3 wheel. The adjustability and feel is excellent. With the wheel I am much more consistent and can occasionally get decent finishes.

+1. As a new GT player also on a wheel, I agree 100%. I am impressed with the feedback and the feel of the cars, and every little tuning change does make a difference. The cars feel awesome when you get them tuned with just a hint of oversteer, dive into the corner hard and power out with a dab of oppo.
I'm running through the seasonals for some cash. The payout on those are pretty good with the log in bonus. There are some tough times there, so I'll have to revisit those later
Was doing some races last night. I have to say that the blinking arrow system for someone beside you is a HUGE help and should assist in preventing some typical shunts that happen.
The light weight rocket is a hoot with some nitrous. I've been using that car everywhere it lets me haha
I spent about 1.5 million today and bought 21 cars. A couple for paintchips, the rest I dug around for premium models and started buying them. Lots of mid range sports cars, muscle cars, and a couple exotics. Ran through the Redbull Junior Championship and my funds are right about where they were before my shopping spree.
I am enjoying the racing (well not the AI necessarily..) and feel of the cars more than FM4 I think. It seems like there is a better sense of grip from the cars. I dunno maybe its just because I am pretty burned out on forza and GT is new for me again......but A+ game would play again.

This is my biggest gripe. I get really tired of how the AI cars brake check you mid corner when you're behind them, and dive-bomb into your trunk when they are behind you. If you can get to the outside of the corners, it is fun to go flying past them during the "hey look, the apex!" brake check.
Hey Spool... I left a little meat on the bone for you in the iB license tests. Couldn't get you in the electric car, but all the others.... Well, you have some work to do.

I mean, its typical GT AI. Just run a wide line or dive in early and brake late. At least they are consistently bad so you can avoid them completely.

And the contest begins!

The more I play the more I think the wheel feedback is why I enjoy GT6 over GT5. I always felt the GT5 feedback on my G27 wheel was just wrong. Now it seems to be giving me a better feedback to make me instinctively react to the grip amount. Thus I have more than just visual and audible inputs to control the car.
In reply to Advan046:
I agree with that. The twitchy ness I feel at the limits is transmitted through the wheel feedback, something it didn't do well in gt5.
So many 500pp cars, damn you insomnia....
Also, anyone else thing racing softs have a bit too much grip? Cause I almost flipped my Supra on the Ring taking a corner too fast.
You'll need to log in to post.
