BOOOOOO
I don't know why PD has such an obsession with taking big fat cars that don't turn, slapping on E36 M3ty tires and then putting them on a tight track.

I'm through the first two parts of the Senna tribute myself. So far, the best I've put up are "silver level" times, about 1/2 way to gold. Pretty sure I can get gold in the F3, Gold in the cart will require pretty much a perfect run. So far, I've got two Senna race suits and the F3 car as rewards and a decent amount of cash from them.
My thoughts so far: Great tribute, some interesting photos and background information. Fun courses, fun cars, decent prizes. The F3 car may be the best car on GT6. Its fast, but not ridiculous. It sounds decent. It handles REALLY well. Possible GT series car?
I would say the Red Bull Junior over the F3. Exact same sound, but cheaper to get, drives just as well too.
So I need money, someone name a race to grind for it. There's no grinding seasonals and I can't do any better in the Senna stuff, and I keep getting spun every time I try to do the stupid red bull challenges.
Enough to buy a Deltawing eh? THAT would make an interesting series.
If you want to spend the bucks, check it out, I think you will find it "interesting".
I think the Redbull Jr race is the best CR grinding races (other then the hyper / irritating full Redbull race). Should be about 2 mill in 30 min or so.
Ok, I get 119k from the third like the wind race at X with only the 4 day bonus. My 3kgt does it in slightly over 4 minutes, run it 10 times and it's a bit over a mill and it's stupid easy.
E: 200% login bonus makes the payout 140k.
The Senna race at Monza was so much fun. The Senna race at Brands Hatch with the Lotus, not so much.
In reply to Richard Nixon: Agreed.
The last GT Academy race nets about 1.6M with 5 day bonus and isn't that hard if you are familiar with Spa. That combined with the Senna challenges have increased my bankroll considerably.
I would like to ask the folks at PD what the point of allowing me to buy a car without stripes is if the stripes show up if I try and change the color.
If I wanted a GT350 with stripe, I would have bought on. Jerks.
These new seasonals are terrible so far.
Just Turrible. Can't use any of my Chryslers for the muscle event since they're all 70 models.
I went for pizzazz with the 450PP event, using my Alpine A310. It's quite a different beast on comfort softs.
I dunno what I'll use for that yet. It'll probably be the wrong thing.
E: vacuum cleaner was the wrong thing
I used my GTS25. Got silver.
As much as I like that Skyline, I don't see myself wringing another second or so out of it, so I'll stick with silver.
Although since putting the semi racing exhaust makes it sound like a V8, I had to give it a garish muscle car paintjob to match.
It's kind of interesting that we keep getting crossovers with the Seasonals and the league. The muscle cars we tested fit perfectly in the Seasonal. I just used the z/28 that I tested. Even used the full stock suspension!
The M4 drift event is well timed for our race next week. That is a pretty natural drift car (at least in the CS tires that I have to use).
The French drift car one is a bit of a pain. The tight city course is less then ideal. I went with the Alpine. Are there other rear drive French cars? I don't know.
French car drift one I used a veyron, but it was waaaaay big for that tiny course. Switched to a peugeot 205 turbo and nailed it.
Muscle car was fun though. took the El Camino and put the race suspension on it but only changed one thing...... ALL THE FRONT BAR. That really makes the car more controllable and I feel I got a good time for what it is.
In reply to aircooled:
R5 turbo, Clio, Megane Trophy(I think), A110, A310, 205 turbo, Veyron. I think that's all of the rear drive Frog cars. Be a man, ass drag a front driver through there. The M event wasn't just for the 4, I used a Z4 coupe and it did alright, the M5 I couldn't do very well with.
Spool, all I did to make the cougar corner was keep off the LSD. One wheel peel through the corners but cuts down on spinning a hell of a lot.
In reply to Grizz:
Oooooooooo I hadn't thought of e braking a FWD through there. I'll give that a shot haha
Isn't the Veyron 4WD? I thought the French drift one was for rear drive only.
BTW - There is clearly no need to ever do a drift competition. I have everyone who runs in the GT series in my friends list and I have to say, the scores on the drift events.... wow, really bad (me included) with one exception of course...
I am actually not that terrible at drifting (on a controller) I am just not very good at setting up the cars. I used to use a Cobra on the open events (power solves a lot of tuning issues).
Money or paint, that's the only reason I do them. Drifting in an open room can be very fun if you find the right one, but most people online take it way too seriously
In reply to Spoolpigeon:
I actually remember on GT5, a guy made the leaderboard near the top for sliding a Fiat Panda through a drift event.
Looks like we finally got some seasonals that aren't time trials or drift events!
Now to see if they payout as good as the ones in GT5.
