Anyone around tonight?

I know this was posted yesterday, but I'm going to try to be on tonight.
Finally did a few laps. I'm about a second/lap off the AI so far. Not sure if it's a driving technique, gearing or aero issue.
Twice when I crashed the game freaked out and I had to quit and restart. I suppose not crashing is the best, but has this happened to anyone else? Spin and the game freezes. Never seen it before. Strange.
In reply to T.J. :
No, I haven't had that issue but I did end up with the bottom of my car against the wall once.

Understatement.. it was basically the disaster that I expected, with the only unexpected thing was you winning.
I'm undecided on whether your win was enhanced or deminished by our antics with the AI.
Either way... Good effort.
Well... I did discover that bump drafting is not really a good idea... or should I say TJ and Sauce discovered that...
Good race Dean.
That was a lot more fun than I was expecting. I haven't laughed that hard in a while. That being said, I am glad I didn't practice at all and didn't really care about the results or it would've been frustrating.
Yes, that was certainly entertaining... a bit of a S show, but entertaining.
The last time my car flew that high was when Dean t-boned me in the last corner of one of our first races. I did not have a reset button setup at that point, so I just sat on the side of the track upside down for the rest of the race.
The craziest part was having spun (or punted, don't remember) around and facing the wrong direction at the exit of one of the corners. I was furiously trying to hit the reset button while trying to get the car stopped so it would work as I watched an AI car approach at full speed... and drive straight into me!
I think we should do another one (at another oval) - Not as a part of this series just for the fun of it.
I wanted to win this one. I have done a ton of SIM Indy car on ovals in the past. It is a very different kind of discipline. I actually put some time in to practicing and ran a partial race so I had an idea of how to deal with the AI adn what they were going to do. At least they are predictable. Now dealing with the Humans was much harder. LOL.
I wish I ahd that race recorded. There were a couple of "moments" that I wish I could show you all.
Air coming up the track and me threading the needle between him and the wall (I just touched both) so I am sure that TJ following me did not make it through that.
I some how managed to drive through 4-6 cars all scattered around the entrance of T1.
My pass in the grass of Brad.
There were numerous single cars sitting on the track that I dodged but those were not that bad.
Anyway it was fun that I won and managed to make the correct decisions on the fly BUT in some ways I think you all may have actually had more fun.
Dean, you ran a heck of a race and stomped the field. I have no idea how you managed to avoid the carnage and dodge the AI for the duration, but you did and the win was well earned.
I'm with TJ, that ended up being more fun than I expected but am glad that I didn't take it too seriously. I'm willing to try it again sometime but am glad to be going back to road courses.

It definitely gives you a really good bump, especially since no one else even got double digit points. Combine that with DK missing that race, TJ missing the coming race, and me being questionable for this week as well and the final points battle starts to look very interesting.
dean1484 said:Tested tonight for a while. Got the car down to a 1:55.91. AI is in the 54s.
I assume you mean 25's and the AI in the 24's?
I do the points on my phone while we are still in the room. I just need to grab a screenshot and post it.
Hockenheim GP? Yes? That track is huge. Basically a bunch of straits with a couple chicains and the stadium section.
You'll need to log in to post.
