Anyone up for it? We could run the lmp cars similar to what Argo did last year or we could run the Euro Trash cars on race tires. 1 hour set to either medium or high fuel and tire ware. Medium for lmp and high for the Euro trash cars.
I don't think it is practical to do this today or tomorow but maybe next saterday?
I would consider it, depends if I am busy. It wasn't too bad last time, although the wedge was a poor choice.
We could run classic (generally 20 mil) cars, if we have them. Maybe two classes (classic and modern) if we get enough. I think it would be great fu. To run a Cobra Daytona or a GT40.
I like the 20mill car idea. Not sure how equal they are.
Since we have the ET cars pretty well dialed in in terms of being equal that is why I was thinking of those.
Maybe I will fire up the ps3 tonight and see how the tire and fuel ware works with them.
Tested last night and the ET cars on RS was an interesting. Good cars were not so good and some of the cars that I did not like were spectacular.
Also. If we use the very fast setting for fuel and tire ware you will get three laps. Maybe four depending on the car. With it set to fast you get between six and eight laps.
With laps taking four minutes or so using the very fast setting you are looking at one or two stops. With the very fast setting it would be three or four stops.
The best day for me to do a 1 hr of Lemans would be on a Wed. or Sun. night at our regular time, especially since tonight is the last game for the NBA Finals. I can only do a LeMans prototype, I still don't have anywhere close to 20 mil. I do have a couple of IMSA/American LeMans GT1 race cars.
I would rather do the LeMans prototypes over the Eurotrash since we don't really bust those cars out ever.

I did a BOP test of the vintage LM prototype and GT cars about a year ago. Would have to look up what my results were. They are all expensive.
An hour seems pretty weak. We did a one hour and 24 minutes last year. There were a few 2.4 hour events online.
If it is next Sunday I could probably make it but wouldn't be interested in any street cars.
We did variable weather and accelerated time to equal 24 hours as well last time.
I am up for a repeat if last year's race Argo. I missed it and really wanted to do that one.
A one hour and twenty four hour race would be great. That would make going with the fast setting for fuel much better.

Last year's thread is about 4 pages back if you want to see what we did then. The yellow flags didn't really work out well. I will see if I can find the weather settings that were used.

Dean, here are the vintage LeMans prototypes: There are six. Four cost 20M. Two are bargains for the cash challenged who want to race. All can be set up to 600pp however testing would be needed to balance performance. Kg/HP might be a better measure.
Ford GT MK 1 '66 $2.5M (The only one you can paint and number)
Chaparral 2D $3.75M
Jaguar XJ13 $20M
Ford GT40 '69 $20M
Ford Mark IV $20M
Ferrari 330 P4 $20M
I don't have time to test them. Maybe you can even them out. Use the vintage LeMans circuit without the chicanes?
There are also six vintage GT class cars: Two are $20M the others are less. I had them set up at 522PP. They were less equal than the prototypes and would need performance balance testing.
Ferrari 250GTO $20M
Shelby Daytona Coupe $20M
Corvette Stingray Concept
Shelby GT350R (Too fast at 522pp)
Shelby Cobra 427SC (Too slow at 522pp)
Jaguar E-Type '61
The original concept (if we could find 8-12 drivers) was to have four to six teams: A Ferrari team, A Chevy team, A Jaguar team, and one to three Ford teams.
