I think that this will be a good series to prepare us for other online rooms, to Air's point.
I had fun tonight playing with Road Cars E. I ran them with the F and G cars on track as well. I tested several of them in stock form with the steering ratio changed and the brakes set to 50/50. No other changes and they were fun. Yes these are a bit slower and you are on high performance street tires but I liked them. If we had a chance we should test these. There are both awd and rwd cars. You can run the fabled 959. I had fun with a AMG Merc.
For comparison at WG Short I was in the 1:08s in the GT3 cars. In these i was around 1:14 to 1:15 but again these were basically not tuned. With the slightly slower speeds and a bit less tire I found them fun.
I bought a G29 and PC2. Currently playing the career mode. I'll sign up for PS plus and get on line eventually. Maybe join you for the series after next.

Look forward to you joining!!! You don't have to wait till the series ends. You can jump in any time. (They let me in and that sais allot LOL)
Late night 'maintenance windows' at work have prevented any participation, will check the new thread and see what I'm gonna suck at next.

Don’t think you will be much worse than us. The four of us all finished behind the bots on Wednesday so you will fit in perfectly.
I like the 30 minute races. Whatever cars we run, it may be fun to have a mandatory pitstops just to introduce more/different strategies.

Figure out what Argo wants to do, then don't do that!
I am hoping for something a bit lower tech. Certainly don't want to push all future series that way, but I more of a "arrive and drive" kind of guy, rather then "tune for days, race for hours". (That of course does not keep you from practicing for days)
I don't think you have tried the RallyX cars yet Dean. Quite entertaining. We will need to test those before next season (Argo will HATE them....)
I was hoping for something a bit lower powered with no aero. Modern or vintage I don't care really. The question is one off series or another series with a class of cars?
I was thinking that the engine restricter could be use for a HC if we wanted to go that rout (especially if sauce keeps cleaning house)

I assume by "cleaning house" you mean me literally cleaning my house while you guys are racing, because that is a much more realistic picture of the last several race nights.
In reply to aircooled :
Air is going to want rubber band races on lawn tractors in the snow on slicks with a handicap of only using one hand if you win a race.
I've really not driven many cars other than a couple of the little Ginettas in the career mode and then GT3 cars.
I like the test/tune/practice/test/tune/repeat cycle. For me it is what makes the game enjoyable, so I am pretty much the opposite of arrive and drive. That would be no fun for me since I would not be any good at it.
Since I haven't really driven anything in the game, I don't have any suggestions as to what class we use next, as long as the setups are not fixed it should be fun.
Has a mx5 series been looked at yet? Do they have a mx5?
The problem I have with a non tuner series is that so far every non tuned car I have tried has sucked.
I believe the only MX5 they have is a drift car, which is WAY over powered.... which might be fun....

If anyone is interested, I started a thread for my Corvair project over on the Builds and Projects forum.
Looking forward to Imola this week... though I haven't turned a lap yet.
You'll need to log in to post.
