I am in to run this again.
I am so annoyed that I missed this. This cold I got is just the suck. I have not been this sick in a long time. Maybe three years? I really hope we re run it.
In reply to Nick_Comstock:
I got loose in T6 and caught the outside wall and had damage to my left side. I kept going and my engine was fine so I had straight line speed, but under braking or turning the car was a disaster. That's why you passed me facing the wall at the first chicane on Mulsanne, I just couldn't keep it together with the handling issues and had to wait to get going again or I'd most likely take you out too. I was limping it back to the pits when I lost connection.
I was surprised at how short the race felt. 21 laps went by much quicker than I thought it would. That may be due to the outright speed of these cars. GT or touring cars may have made it less intense.
Light damage to combat glitches.
No yellow in the middle so the race is speed + mileage.
Tuning because I want to tweak my setup.
I feel like we took the easy way out now...

The 1000km is run on the GP track.
Bathurst 1000 isn't until October, but those are V8 supercars. We will have to come up with rules on those (probably kind of like SB, must be a V8 at some PP, otherwise pretty loose)
Air you may get a chance to run the cobra.
Speaking of that a vintage endurance race of some sort would be fun.
Say pre 1970 race cars with a max pp. I don't probibly need to adjust the cutoff date to include or exclude cars as needed. I so want to run the Daytona race car in some thing or the jaguar race car from the sixties. Both are 20m cars but both are a hoot to drive.
My original idea was for a vintage LeMans event with teams. One in a prototype and one in a GT car. Examples: Ferrari P4 with the GTO, Ford GT with the Cobra Daytona, etc. There are five possible team combinations (Ferrari, Chevy, Jaguar, and 2 Ford) so it would take 10 participants. The down side to this race is that almost every car costs 20 million.
The 20 mill cars would be tough for some of us that don't have the credits to buy said cars. A dual class race would be fun though. Maybe LMP cars and GT cars together? It would be less credits and a larger field of cars to choose from.
