Optimization is bad. Great game and will get better. I believe kunos is working very hard. They say better performance will come. What do you all think?

Performance will get better, it is normal these days for triple A titles to get out of the gate unfinished and with huge issues, let alone a product from a much smaller team that is still under development.

What I am mostly worried about are our expectations. I simply don't believe the game we want AC Evo to be is the same one that Kunos wants - or needs.

AC is an anomaly in gaming, not often that you have a game running stronger 11 years on with minimal updates than it did in its heyday. The problem is that modding brought to AC a ton of replayability, but with Kunos' sales model it isn't actually doing anything any more for Kunos' bottom line. No season passes, no microtransactions, nothing that will help them reap part of the benefits of the games popularity.

I am afraid that modding won't be there to the extend that we'd like, so I just hope that the end game will be something enjoyable as a stand alone experience - but this time it will have a ton of competition.

Im assuming you saw the video that kunos released a few days ago about there next update. I beleive it will be an AC type automobilista. The ideas are great but will it replace AC? Doubtful 11 years of modding and community work wont go away so quickly. It will either be similar to automobilista or rfactor but probably wont have as much success as the original AC.
