with all the talk of naked wings lately, here's a cheap one to play with.

Maroon92- it is only a sixteen hour ride, I mean drive. Not quite like going to the Mitty used to be, but still more than doable in a single go.
Race ends at 3:30PM Sunday. Work begins at 7:30AM Monday.
That's only 16 hours... So, I would have to ride 16 hours straight on Friday, watch a 24 hour race on Saturday and Sunday, then ride another 16 hours straight on Sunday/Monday. Through the night...IN JANUARY...in order to work a 10 hour shift. Ride home and crawl into bed where I will die.
Is there a better choice of bike for riding 16 hours straight...?
You could take photos of the adventure and afterwards make a GRM post about it. We'd all read it and feel a little bit jealous.

do it, let me live vicariously through you. my work van died so there goes the bike fund.
made an offer. he will email me tonight. Ill buy it but not for $500. Dont have that much scratch for another toy....
UNLESS someone wants to buy the fairings off it. I buy it and sell it to ya.
Well we arrived at $400.
I will go look at it sunday i hope. I dunno what to expect although i am optimistic. Hoping to naked it up and have it for my dad to ride
Is it possible to sell off the fairings to recoup a bit?
My Goldwing-fu is light, but if those are accessory Vetter fairing and bags and not the OE Honda bits, you should be able to recoup the purchase price 100%.
I'm jealous.

Was supposed to buy the bike today but i got an email saying it just sold.

i was particularly bummed about this one.
Wanted to get it for my dad to ride so we could ride together again

The last thing you need is a bike. Then you'll NEVER get anything done.
i am so excited. sleep will be hard tonight. cant even imagine how ill get through work.
I am a bit worried however, does the clutch cable lose tension or is that a sign of a toast clutch?
hmmm... Patgizz just got a butt load of tires so maybe i can get a pair for it.
Maybe BABE it first....
That (O.P. GL1000) looks quite a bit nicer than mine for way less than I'd sell mine for...

I really like that. Shame about the lurid green, did they paint one of the rear shocks the same color? Gross. I work with a young guy that paints everything Ford engine block blue. Ford blue brake drums, outside mirrors, and dash inserts on a maroon Grand Prix, and this is at least the sixth car I've known him to do up as such(early Supra, early '90s Bonneville, Sebring, 626, SN Mustang, and so forth). Puke.
