It occurred to me after posting the SWM info that most people have never heard of SWM. I realized that most people have probably also never heard of AJP.
AJP is a small manufacturer of high quality hand built enduro type bikes aimed at the recreational to pro level rider. They are typically smaller, and less powerful than comparable bikes, but are built with top notch components and are intended to be very easy to ride, and confidence inspiring.

They have excellent reviews and do quite well in European competition.

I was giving some serious thought about buying a AJP this summer but then I found a knight framed Rotax flat track I had to buy so all my money left....
They do seem like a good buy for the $$ and talking with the importer they seem to be holding up well in the rocky woods of New England.
Yes they have excellent reviews from anybody that's owned one. If I could plate a PR5 I woulod probably buy one. There's something about a smaller bike with less power that just seems to work for me. I can absolutely fly in the woods on my KLX250 and it's 100 lbs heavier, with half the power of my race bike.
Oh cool thanks for the info!

They sell Super-moto set up units in the UK but they don't import them yet here.
I have AJP components on my '05 Gas Gas EC250 as well as my '04 Sherco 2.9, didn't know they made complete bikes though.
I wasn't aware that AJP manufactured components. Gasgas is on my short list for my next bike, along with Beta.

I'd look very hard at Sherco if I were interested in a newer two stroke. Great products and product support.
The guy I buy my Husky parts from is now a Sherco dealer. I'll have a look next time I'm there, but I'm pretty high on the latest Beta woods bikes
