Why the hell would you not weld in a top bar? Heck make it bolt in or banjo around the head. But heck ya i'd ride it. Kind looks speedway bikeish and that was alot of fun the two times i got to try it.

Yes it does.

Am I the only one that sees two different bikes there? The front end (the GT part) looks as though it's one of the mid-school GT flatlanders. It has the piston barclamp, and it appears the top bar was concave before it was cut off. Those WERE nice bikes. The rear triangle however, looks a lot older than that.

why go to all that trouble when your really not that far away from something thats at least legal (although probably not anymore safe)

Can someone please explain to me why just about every "trick" bicycle I see has the front part of the seat so much higher than the rear part. It makes me cringe every time I see one.

Makes it easier to slide off the back to do supermans and the like.

or pinch the seat for no handed tricks...

also, because of the super tight seating position for adults, the upward angle is more comfortable while being ultra low.

20" bmx bikes could easily raise the seat for the grabs and pinches.

but then its in the way again for other tricks like no foot can-can and superman etc

I knew there had to be a reason. I'm just glad that it's not because all trick bicycle riders don't enjoy having their nuts crushed.

I still think it has more to do with the fact that its more comfortable at a tilted position. I've ridden 26" BMX/Jump bikes and they feel better with the seat titled up.

On the flip side, my 29er has the seat tube extended 8 inches, and the seat is dead flat. Comfy to. Specialized Body Geometry was the best $68 I've spent in ages.
