Some of you probably saw this on some of the motoblogs:
Bott has now released images of the chassis design:
They still say a kit will be available, I assume it'll probably just be the frame. I could never really warm to the stock Buell's looks but at 375lb it might be time to look for a clapped out XB...
Why modify an XB that much? If it's the look you want that's not hard to accomplish using the standard frame and components.
I know a lot of testing and engineering went into the XB series. "A lot" in that statement being equal to saying "there are a lot of nerds who play WOW." The XB had to be the most tested bike designed by HD in decades. I would be leery of throwing all that R&D in the toilet for this kit.
Another route to that XR look would be an XR1200. Not as performance focused as the Buell XB's but they look the part very, very well.
That is cool!
Lose the giant buell exhaust and orange anodized parts and I love it.
I liked Buells, just not enough to buy one. Never cared for the huge frame gas tank & swingarm oil tank. That little frame is great as it lets the motor dominate the look (one the coffin size muffler is lost).
