Yep, getting sidetracked again, this time by a "real quick" project. 1994 XR 650 L Supermoto. Just picked up the bike from a friend, and want to straight from "lives outside" to wicked. Already picked up Wheels, inverted forks, etc. I just wanted to know if anyone on here had tried any speedometer/ multifunction things. Bike bandit has some, and all look good(Dakota elect.???) Simpler/cheaper always better.
Sigma bike computer is all you need 15$ at REI. I use it on my hot rod.
TrailTech. Works for my 1994 XR600R. It's like your bike, but with horsepower!
Any bicycle computer will work. they are very accurate as well (tire measurement in mm).
a few people have recommended using rare earth magnets glued to the rotor for the sender. the stock magnet is pretty weak

Hey, thanks, guys. And Osterkraut, give me time. Next summer, Carb, Cam, Exhaust. IT just wouldn't be me if I weren't polishing a turd.

Having just kicked the E36 M3 out of my BRP working through a carb problem, I don't think I'll be buying a big-bore thumper without the magic button ever again.
On the other hand, when it starts up first kick, it's a panty-dropper.
Panty dropping potential: First kick > Electric start > 2 or more kicks
By the third kick, the girl is probably thinking (or saying) "Maybe I don't want to ride on your POS after all"

Only the most svelte of maidens could ride on the back of the XRrrrrr without cracking the subframe, so most likely I wouldn't want her riding on the back of my POS either.
